| Notes |
- Frederick Horace Wigg was probably born at sea. There is no record of his birth in South Australia at all, or in any other state. Likewise, there is no record of his birth anywhere that has been searched in England.
His parents were Richard Horace Wigg and Elizabeth (Betsey or Betsy) Turner. They were married in April of 1852 and left for Australia very shortly afterwards.
John Richard Wigg who married Emily Margarette Frederica Barber, his wife's sister, was his younger brother. John was born in South Australia.
In fact, both WIGG boys married their first cousins once removed! You see Julia & Emily's mother - Julia Warren Smith, was the first cousin of the two Wigg Boys - their mother was her aunt.
And to add to the tangled webb of WIGGs Edgar Smith Wigg, founder of E.S. Wigg & Son, stationers of Adelaide, was also the boys' uncle, and therefore Julia Warren Barber nee Smith's cousin.
